Tesla's Autopilot can be classified as level 2 under the SAE International six levels (0 to 5) of vehicle automation. This system also does not detect pedestrians or cyclists, and while Autopilot detects motorcycles, there have been two instances of HW1 cars rear-ending motorcycles.
