"Warmeleitpasten gehoren in unserem Computer-Alltag fast wie das Holz zum Heizen, doch viele Gedanken uber das wichtige Warmeleitmittel hat sich wohl bisher noch kaum einer gemacht. Wahrend einige ihre Mikrochips noch mit althergebrachten Warmeleitpads zwischen Kuhlerkorper und Chip auf Temperatur halten, schworen andere auf Pasten mit hohen Silberanteilen. Allerdings sollte man beachten, dass es zwar bei den verschiedenen Pasten Unterschiede in der Warmeleitfahigkeit gibt, aber auch gute, konventionelle Warmeleitpasten rund 20 mal schlechter die Verlustleistung kompensieren konnen als Kuhler aus Aluminium oder Kupfer. Auf ein ganz neues Konzept dagegen setzt der Hersteller Coollaboratory mit seiner Flussigmetall-Warmeleitpaste "Liquid Pro", die aus einer Metallegierung besteht und einen circa zehn mal besseren Warmeleitwert gegenuber bisherigen Warmeleitpasten hat.
