Hauppauge Unveils Wireless MediaMVP For Home Networks

Hauppauge Digital announced a wireless set-top-box, MediaMVP, that transfers multimedia content over 802.11G.

The package includes Hauppauge WinTV-PVR software supporting M3U, B4S, PLS, ASX playlists of Windows Media Player, Winamp and Music Match as well as a remote control.

Based on IBM PowerPC, the device works under Linux, supports web updates. Its interfaces include S-video, composite, RGB, stereo, S/PDIF outputs.

Hauppauge Wireless MediaMVP will retail for $149 late in January.
