HEXUS.reviews :: XFX GeForce 6600 DDR2 256MB PCIe

"XFX's GeForce 6600 DDR2 256MB card provides more-than decent performance for the £80 asking price. Add to this the high-quality bundle and immediate availability and we have little reservation in recommending it to gamers who are looking to upgrade to a PCI-Express card and want a fistful of change from £100."

HIS IceQ X700 128Meg AGP Videocard Review @ Tweaknews.net

"There is no way I am going to put this card down. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this card if you consider its' targeted consumer genre. This card is meant to be a value based premium graphics card with exceptional cooling and overclocking potential. What more could you ask for when you are laying down US$139. Sure there might be cheaper, but I bet it isn't as loaded as this model. If you are in the market for a cheap, yet superb value videocard, give this one a try. The overclocking and cooling alone are worth it in my mind.."

iRiver U10 1GB Media Player Review @ Everything USB

"The iRiver U10's design is very modern and sleek, with an all white body topped off with a black faceplate surrounding a 320x240 QVGA color screen. Unlike other MP3 players, no room on the face was reserved for navigation controls, making the sole point of interest the screen itself. Instead, navigation is accomplished by grasping the bordered edges of the screen and literally clicking it in one of four directions, as if it were a directional pad on a video game console. iriver calls this the D-Click system, and it's very smart."

Chinese manufacturer sells fake Intel Pentium 4 processors @ HWzone.co.il

"We have recently discovered that a chinese manufacturer is selling large quantities of fake Intel Pentium 4 CPUs.The manufacturer re-labels Intel Celeron CPUs and sells them, in a motherboard+CPU combo, as Pentium 4 2.8/3.6GHz original CPUs. The chinese company even goes as far as providing a special patch that will "trick" the BIOS and Windows into recognizing the Celeron as a genuine Pentium 4. We have evidence that such CPUs are now being sold in Israel, and probably made their way to other countries as well, we'd like you to spread the word about this alarming new phenomenon."

Fall 2005 Buying Guide: Photo Printers @ Designtechnica

"Taking a great picture is wonderful. Turning it into a gorgeous print to give to friends and family is even better. Today it's even simpler, quicker and less expensive than ever to make dazzling prints. Your first clue about any printer's photographic capabilities is as obvious as its name, such as the Canon Pixma Photo Printers, HP Photosmart, Epson Stylus Photo, Lexmark Home Photo Printers, and Sony Digital Photo Printers."

Elite Bastards preview: FutureMark's SPMarkJava06

"The focus of SPMarkJava06 is (as the not-so-catchy name suggests) Java performance on modern mobile devices that support it. This certainly seems to be a logical progression for the SPMark series, seeing as Java has become something of a de facto standard among most new high-end devices of this ilk. The tests within SPMarkJava06 examine 2D and 3D gaming, image processing, video playback and battery life - In other words, anything that may concern you when it comes to buying and using an advanced mobile phone. A full run of tests will generate a final SPMark score, with the benchmark also offering the ability to run and obtain results from only selected tests as the user requires."

Albatron 6600GT (single and SLI) Review @ Bjorn3D

"As a reviewer it is easy to always use the high-end stuff you get to review and forget about the mid-end and even low-end cards. Today though, I will test the Albatron 6600GT, a mid-level performance card that promises a nice performance/price ratio. I’m also testing it in SLI-configuration to see if it is worth getting a second GeForce6600GT instead of buying a completely new card."

Mini Keyboard Roundup @ TrustedReviews

"The latest keyboard trend seems to be to go smaller, sleeker and better looking. However, many of these new fancy keyboards seem to have missed out a key point of what you use a keyboard for - typing. In order to use a keyboard comfortably for a long period of time, you need good key travel and keys that are sized and weighted well. This isn’t always the case with these new slim and sleek keyboards."
