VoIP & Internet Phone Services Compared Explanatory Guide @ Designtechnica

"VoIP is one of those mysterious acronyms that almost everyone has seen by now. If you've read or watched TV ads for Vonage or any of the other mushrooming broadband telephone services, or read about eBay's acquisition of Skype, you're familiar with it. You might have experienced it without even knowing it. VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol, a way of having a phone conversation over the Internet by sending packets of data rather than impulses, making it very different from the traditional telephone method. It became possible with the advent of high-speed broadband connections, and nowadays it's pretty much a fact of life, one that can, and will, significantly lower your phone bills."

Albatron nForce4 K8SLI @ Bjorn3D

"Sometimes us reviewer tend to forget that not everyone have the money to buy one of the latest and fastest cards available. Instead of a GeForce 7800GT or GeForce 7800GTX many instead have opted for cheaper, but yet capable, GeForce 6600GT. But what if you have one of those and want to in a cheap way increase the graphics performance? NVIDIA has the solution with SLI. Pop in a second card and in theory get double the performance. Today I am looking at one of the cheaper SLI-capable motherboards on the market, the K8SLI from Albatron. "

Legion Hardware - (Ultra X-Finity 500w ATX PSU)

"The Ultra X-Finity 500w is an impressive product that is capable of offering great system stability. The fact that this product allows for a neat and tidy install is also impressive and the clear 120mm fan is a nice touch. The FlexForce cable design is superb and is clearly the highlight of this product. It will be very interesting to see what Ultra can come up with next to top the FlexForce idea."

HEXUS.previews :: Intel Lindenhurst Xeon DP Platform Discussion

"The Paxville generation of Xeon is dual-core and uses the latest generation of Netburst microarchitecture, making the DP version ostensibly a clone of the Pentium D 820, but with the ability to also turn on HyperThreading for both cores. The DP version of Paxville, at $1080 in volume, is only available in 2.8GHz form for the time being, MP variant available at up to 3GHz. It supports everything the dual-core Pentium D does, including SSE3 instructions and rides the same 200MHz system bus (800MHz effective)."

Toshiba Qosmio G20 @ TrustedReviews

"As an entertainment machine it’s important that it looks good and Toshiba has done well here. With the lid closed the silver finish and the Qosmio logo adorn the otherwise featureless expanse that is the lid cover. Surrounding the eye catching 16:10 17in display is a brown brushed metal bezel, while around the keyboard, is shiny plastic enhanced by blue lights in all the right places. The effect is somewhat spolit however, by its tendency to pick up fingerprints, so you’ll have to spent time on regular grooming. No surprise that a cleaning cloth is supplied."

Software Lets you Share USB Devices on the Internet @ Everything USB

"We found a nifty software called USB@nywhere that lets you share USB devices on the Internet. You basically only need to install 'Device workstation' on the PC with the USB devices you want to share, and 'Remote workstation' on the PCs where you want to access the remote USB hardware. Then you can start using the remote USB devices across the Internet or W/LAN. According to Intellidriver, you can find the USB devices in Device manager; supposedly, the company did a good job emulating the USB stack."

Samsung YH-MT6 1Gb Digital Audio MP3 Player Review @ Tweaknews.net

"As the player snugly rests in my hand I can contemplate just what I can find as a fault with this player. To be honest, I can't find many. The player in my mind is essentially flawless. Everything works, everything is built well (including the excellent headphones), and the buyer will be happy to find out that this player can be setup and loaded in under 5 minutes thanks to the USB2.0 capability."

Asetek Waterchill Xtreme KT12A-12VX liquid cooling kit review @ Xtreme Resources

"When Asetek first entered the PC watercooling market with the introduction of the initial Waterchill kits, their good value and excellent performance made them loved within the enthusiast circles. Even the most hardcore users loved them because they could integrate the watercooling kits to their Vapochill cooled systems, for VGA and chipset cooling. Asetek came a long way since then and now they have a long line of kits and standalone products across all of the Waterchill range. Their pinnacle of the Waterchill line, the Xtreme KT12A-12VX Waterchill kit is under the scope today. Featuring all the best that Asetek has to offer, let us see what it can do for the cooling of your PC."

Thermaltake Swing Case @ Driverheaven

"The last Thermaltake case we looked at was the Tenor model aimed at Media Centre systems and it received the DH silver award. We understand however that the Tenor isn't for everyone and it is also worth mentioning not everyone can afford a top of the range case costing over $100. So what do Thermaltake offer for the midrange user? Well one of their solutions is the Swing case which we will be reviewing today."

Gainward 7800 GT Golden Sample @ PureOverclock.com

"The Golden Sample is clocked with a 450 MHz core which is 4 MHz faster than one of the overclocking sweet spots (18 x 27 - 40 = 446). Now, as our last 7800 GT review showed, the good thing about the 7800 series is that we see good performance boosts when they are overclocked. There were some instances of a 10 fps increase in some benchmarks with reasonable overclocks. What this suggests is that the Golden Sample at its stock clocks and under warranty will perform much better than the reference 7800 GT and just might be up the rear of the 7800 GTX."
