Logitech´s Wireless Music System for the iPod @ DV Hardware

"Creating accessories for the Apple iPod is a lucrative market and Logitech knows it. The company already launched a bunch of high priced headphones and speaker systems for this popular digital audio player and today they present the Logitech Wireless Music System for iPod, which enables users to wirelessly connect their iPod to a stereo or speaker system. And while the name of this device clearly states iPod, it will work on every portable media player with a standard 3.5mm headphone output, and not just solely on the iPod."

Ergodex DX1 Input System (Gamers´ Dream) Review @ Everything USB

"Enter the Ergodex Corporation and their DX1 Input System. The DX1 targets both gamers and task-oriented professionals as the alternative input device that alleviates many woes associated with the standard keyboard, by allowing users to position keys anywhere on the surface to contour to the shape of their hands. With so many other adjustable products we take for granted like the adjustable chair and the DPI switching mice from Razer and Logitech, it´s amazing that no one has thought of such a simple idea any sooner. Yet for such a simple product, a lot of thought has been put into creating the DX1 to deliver the ultimate input experience. Go ahead and coin that phrase, no one´s claimed it yet."

Designtechnica: Text Messaging and the End of Culture

"Text messaging is developing an entire sub-culture that revolves around an incomprehensible form of grammar. It needs to stop. I can let a lot of things go, but if I ever find my daughter under a rock text messaging someone something that resembles "PXT :)" I might take her by the hand and make her share a cheeseburger with me at McDonald´s in the hopes that, at the very least, she asks me for some fries and experiences a bit of Americana. Don´t get me wrong, I´m for inane gossip and conversation as much as the next guy, but let´s keep it in its proper place in the scope of human interaction like, say, face-to-face meetings, audible exchanges over a phone of some kind, or good-old-fashioned e-mail."

IDF August 2005: ATi — Multi Graphics @ Hexus

"ATi in Santa Clara had Dual Graphics cards working on Intel platforms back in December 2004. Whilst NVIDIA beat them to the market place it appears that ATi have been holding back to deliver a solution which aims to make the user experience easier from the offset."

DH Review: Vapochill Micro Ultra Low Noise

"In the past, we’ve looked at some of Asetek’s enthusiast coolers here on Driverheaven. The Waterchill products have impressed us through both their first class performance with their high standard of components and build quality. Today, we have the newest of Asetek’s coolers in for review and it’s definitely a departure from the norm. Rather than being targeted at water-cooling enthusiasts, the new cooler is aimed solely at the mainstream market and it’s one that Asetek hopes will make them become leaders in performance in that segment as well as the enthusiast arena. Not only does the product aim to take the performance crown, it also claims to do it with a minimal amount of noise..."

BFG Tech GeForce 7800 GT OC Review @ Beyond3D

"Although the 7800 GT uses the G70 chip, unlike the GTX, it doesn´t utilise the chip in its full configuration. Where G70 is capable of supporting up to 8 Vertex Shader engines and 6 quads of fragment (pixel) shader pipelines, as is enabled on the GTX, the GT board only utilises 7 Vertex Shaders and 5 fragment quads. With the large die size of G70 the number of chips produced per wafer are lower than that of previous chips and with the average number of defects that appear on a wafer the number of fully operable chips is beginning to average out at fairly small numbers — in this instance, should one of those defects appear in either a Vertex Shader or Fragment quad the chip can still be utilised in this 7800 GT configuration."

Comparison of five Socket939 PCI Express motherboards @ Tech-Hounds

"Today, we´re going to test several of socket 939 PCI Express motherboards. There are four motherboards using NForce 4 chipsets are ABIT´s AN8 Ultra, ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe, Gigabyte´s K8NF-9, MSI K8N SLI Platinum. ABIT´s AX8 3rd Eye is the odd man out with VIA K8T890. The SLI motherboards (A8N SLI Deluxe, MSI K8N SLI Platinum) may have the added advantage of SLI support (dual physical PCI-E x16 slots), but non SLI motherboards should be more affordable to users so don´t count them out yet."

Noiseblocker NB-UltraSilentFan Series Blue review @ Xtreme Resources

"Fans are common in systems these days; well, save for some VIA ITX systems perhaps. They are everywhere, from a small laptop to a massive server. They come in all sizes, colors and performance levels you can ever ask for. one computer fan manufacturer, Noiseblocker, makes fans that try to perform as well as possible with the minimum amount of noise. They were nice enough to provide me with some of their fans in a package that I received, so I thought that it would be nice to present them to you; especially since they are very noteworthy products."
