"The performance of the Albatron FX5900XTV was impressive to say the least and when it came to overclocking this card really came into its own. Increasing both the core and memory frequencies brought the card up to FX5900 Ultra speeds. This kind of performance is just not expected from a sub $200 US graphics card. When overclocked the FX5900XTV slaughtered the FX5700 Ultra by more than 150fps in the UT2003 test. Even at the standard clock frequency there was over 100fps favoring the FX5900XTV."

"The core specifications are, of course, the same as any other FX5900XT card with the GPU clocked at 390MHz and the memory at 700MHz. This might not sound very high compared to the FX5700 Ultra or even the Radeon 9600XT, but as we have seen in many other products, clock speed isn´t everything. "Having already reviewed a P4 version of the iDEQ and an Athlon 64 variant, I thought I would go for the Athlon XP flavour of cube. With the Athlon 64 gaining momentum, Athlon XP chips can be picked up at bargain basement prices. I also managed to get hold of a 2500+ CPU that would happily clock to 3000+. Unfortunately, the clock multiplier in the iDEQ didn’t go high enough to push the chip into 3000+ territory, but it did tick over nicely as a 2800+."

"I´ve been running this Albatron board for several weeks now, having conducted quite a few stress tests and benchmarks, not to mention real world use… and of course some gaming. It hasn´t faltered once, and I´ve been fairly impressed with it. The board is exceptionally well laid out, and pleasing to the eye.
From a technical perspective, it offers many nice features and is Prescott ready. It has some very good (albeit slightly hampered) overclocking options, and having been able to keep it stable at 266 FSB for a couple weeks without a single issue or reboot, I must say that I am impressed."
