LG Optimus L1 II Tri offers triple-SIM capabilities and Android Jelly Bean

LG Optimus L1 II Tri - that's one of the silliest phone names we have ever seen. But we’ll forgive LG for this inoffensive mess because the Optimus L1 II Tri (model number E475) provides what few other smartphones do: triple-SIM capabilities. Yes, the handset supports up to three SIM cards, and users can switch between them via a dedicated key.

Resembling the LG Optimus L1 II E410 from last year, the Optimus L1 II Tri is a small low-end device, offering a 3-inch display with 240 x 320 pixels, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 3G connectivity, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, MicroSD card slot, and a 1540 mAh battery.

The new handset has a 2MP rear camera which seemingly comes with a “cheese shot” feature - this allows users to take photos by simply saying "cheese, or any other text of your choice."

The Optimus L1 II Tri is listed at LG Brazil’s official website, as well as at the websites of several Brazilian retailers. It appears to be available in black, white and pink, costing around $127 - a price justified only by its triple-SIM feature. At the moment we don’t know if LG is planning to release the new smartphone in other markets.
