Samsung’s Galaxy F series is about to get a new model, this time, an entry-level one. It has been reported that the next model in the India-exclusive series will launch as the Galaxy F22.

Info about the device was first revealed in a tweet earlier today by “@_the_tech_guy” and was confirmed by the folks at SamMobile. According to the tweet, the phone has the model number SM-E225F and it is already in development while SamMobile reports that there is a chance the phone will be based on the yet-to-be-announced Galaxy A22. This isn’t surprising considering current Galaxy F models are rebadged Galaxy A and Galaxy M phones.

The Galaxy A22 is expected to launch in 4G and 5G variants. It has been reported that the 5G version will have a Dimensity 700 chipset powering it. Little is known about the 4G variant of the phone which the Galaxy F22 will most likely be based on. We hope to see the phone pack a big battery, a feature that has become common in a lot of mid-range and budget Samsung phones

We expect more details of the phone to surface as its launch draws closer.
