Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition, the premium offering from the company of its flagship Oppo Find X smartphone, went on sale today in China for the first time. Priced at 9,999 Yuan, which roughly converts to $1,460, the phone was sold out within just 4 seconds.
The Lamborghini Edition doesn’t just have Lamborghini’s logo slapped on the back panel. It comes with a special retail box and the included case, charger with braided cable, and a pair of earphones are also Lamborghini-branded.
The phone comes with a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display dominates the front side of the phone and it is touted as the world’s first smartphone to come with a screen-to-body-ratio of 93.8 percent.
Under the hood, the Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with 8GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. It comes with a unique automatic sliding mechanism for the camera sensors. According to the company, the slide-out mechanism pops out in just 0.5 seconds.
For the photography, the smartphone comes equipped with a dual camera setup that consists of a 16MP + 20MP sensors on the back with OIS and AI features. On the front side, there’s a 25MP for taking selfies. It comes with multiple 3D portrait lighting features and Omoji, which is OPPO’s own take on the iPhone X’s emojis.
The smartphone doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner, instead, it comes with O-Face (3D face unlock) which OPPO says has a failure rate of 1/1,000,000 compared to that of a fingerprint scanner which is 1/50,000. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with ColorOS on top. The Lamborghini Edition’s user interface has also been customized compared to the UI on the other variants of Find X.

The phone’s software will learn usage habits, preload common applications, and make the app start faster. It also features a smartphone voice assistant. The device is backed by a 3730mAh battery, which supports Oppo’s custom Super VOOC fast charging technology.
